When I first started reading this series it wasn't completed. I bought books 1-22 and then was distracted by life and school and work. I watched the live action Japanese version and, thus, was satisfied with an ending. I recently got around to rereading the series and was disappointed to discover that I didn't have the entire series! So, I ordered the last two books and read them insanely quickly and absolutely loved them. This series is unbelievably funny, cute, and unique.

Why Did it end i cried so much especially when izumi proposed to mizuki poor nakatsu even tho i knew u wasnt gunna get mizuki i cried and felt so sorry for you ya stupid monkey nd julia lol i miss u nd lol mizuki u gave izumi a nose bleed in chap 58 or 59 befor the christmas ball Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh no dont end it here do another generation when mizuki and izumi have a daughter named Harako nd she goes tho kind of the same thing but she dosent hit my head tilli bleed nd said be strong Super nakastu RE would do the same WHY but i will always love this manga V_V good bye Hanazakari ( hana) No kimitachi ( kimi) For You In Full Blossom
As those before me have mentioned, the ending is lacking, ususally at the end of a series the author has me all riled up and worrying about what was going to happen to my beloved characters! Didn't get that feeling at all with this series. At one point in time this was my favorite series and I eagerly bought each volume. Then around volume 14 or so I started feeling like I was buying it out of duty. I started to blatantly lose interest around volume 16 and began questioning my dedication to the series. At that point I read the rest of the series online and saw it didn't get good again, so I stopped collecting the series and focused my money on more entertaining series.

With this series I feel like the author should have realized that sometimes less is more. Had this series ended in a different way 10 volumes ago it would probably still be one of my favorites.
I love this series for so many reasons and it concludes (sort of) in this last volume.

The thing that made this last volume so heart-breaking is that the point-of-view switches from the Mizuki, our heroine, to third person observer. Everyone else is reacting to her news, deciding what they think of it and her and we just keep seeing Mizuki get sadder and sadder as she makes up her mind to leave but we don't know what exactly she is thinking. Time after time, her friends come through for her. Nakatsu is thrilled, Kayashima already knew, Noe & Sekime defended her from some less than reputable characters, Nakao did the same and Nanba appointed her RA, which means that he wanted her to stay there for another year (or maybe two, the text is unclear on this point)until she graduated and the school administration wouldn't have been able to do anything about it. They all wanted her to stay even though they knew she had to leave.

And even though I know it is coming, I always break down when I see that picture of all of the students from all three dorms lined up waiting to see her off to the airport when they should have been at their graduation ceremony. Makes me cry every time.

Mizuki grew up a lot through this series and although her cluelessness was at times her worst enemy it was also one of the reasons everyone loved her. She didn't take anyone for granted. She stood up for what and who she believed in and she CHASED DOWN her dream... and no one wanted any of that precious personality to be tarnished or taken away.
My daughter just loves the Hana-Kimi series of books, and Volume 23 was no different. She read through the book in no time flat, and loved it.
I totally loved the entire manga. I choose 5 stars because this was the best manga series I have ever read before in my life. And I have read a lot of manga. In fact all I read is manga. I just loved all the emotion you can feel coming from Hana-Kimi. I mean you can just feel all the love and you actually feel like you are a part of the book and it is easy to relate to. It also teaches you things and gives you advise about real life. I absolutely love this manga and highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. I hope you love it just as much as I love it.
I read this years ago and i decided it was time for a recap as i love this series so much. i was disappointed however to find that the extra storys that would've been included in the hard back copy of the final volume did not make it on the kindle store. we're missing some very important parts that end the story properly
I know there was 23 books but wasn't there an extra or something? doesn't show what happens after? Someone help, please or am I thinking of another manga?
